Replacing them meant a major capital outlay and complex work inside a facility that never closes. Funding the project from the capital budget would have competed directly with clinical and strategic priorities.

Riverside avoided $17.75 million in capital costs and replaced systems that patient safety and compliance depend on, without competing for capital against clinical priorities. The capital it would have spent stays available for care.
