eEnergy Supports UK Schools Avoid $17.4M in CapEx for Infrastructure Upgrades with Redaptive’s EaaS

Redaptive, together with our UK delivery partner eEnergy, set out to help UK schools, including multi-academy trusts (MATs), tackle ageing estates, rising energy costs and constrained capital budgets – and continues to support them as these pressures grow. Large, dispersed estates and inconsistent building conditions make it difficult to roll out solar and lighting upgrades at scale, while traditional procurement routes remain slow and resource-intensive for education leaders.

Redaptive’s Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) model enables schools to adopt solar PV and LED lighting with no upfront capital commitment. Through a single, streamlined agreement, Redaptive and eEnergy manage design, installation and commissioning across multiple sites. Forecast savings are modelled upfront using eEnergy’s proprietary survey and design app, giving stakeholders clear, data-driven visibility of expected energy and carbon reductions before projects commence and as new sites are added.

The program is delivering material energy and carbon savings across a growing UK education portfolio, while modernizing teaching and learning environments.
