Challenge
T-Mobile has ambitious carbon reduction goals and is looking to reduce its overall energy consumption and create energy production through solar energy. With competing resources for internal capital, it is difficult for the company to prioritize a solar program that was cash flow positive or had a good ROI.
Desired outcome:
Building a More Resilient Future
Solution
Redaptive developed a comprehensive plan to install solar panels across 4 total locations. Redaptive provided the funding, project management, and expertise to execute a comprehensive energy program. Redaptive used a wave deployment strategy to install solar panels. With 4 locations and an average system size of 2.6k kW will lead to a 4.3M kWh of solar production annually.

Impact
The Redaptive solar program will result in significant energy production for the company. The electricity produced will avoid 18,132 metric tons of CO2 emissions over the service term, the equivalent to removing 43,899 barrels of oil avoided or the emissions from 3,673 homes. These first projects are also just the beginning of T-Mobile’s work with Redaptive and many more projects are on the horizon.
