The Challenge
Saint-Gobain needed a holistic, turnkey solution to assist in lowering its energy usage and reducing its utility costs. Saint- Gobain was looking for a partner to manage the design, procurement, installation, and utility rebate for a LED retrofit program. Prior to engaging with Redaptive, many of Saint- Gobain’s retrofit proposals could not get approval internally as it did not meet the internal capital budgeting payback threshold.
The Solution
Redaptive’s injection of capital and turnkey solution unlocked immediate savings and reduced energy consumption for Saint-Gobain. Redaptive was able to upgrade 26,211 lighting fixtures across 29 sites spanning 6.5M sq/ft.
The Impact
The Redaptive program resulted in a significant reduction in lighting costs. The reduced electricity consumption will avoid 83,500 metric tons of CO2 emissions over the next 10 years, the equivalent to removing 194,190 barrels of oil avoided or the emissions from 16,250 homes.
