Saint-Gobain unlocks CapEx-free energy upgrades across 30 sites

Saint-Gobain sought a way to reduce energy consumption and lower utility costs across its extensive facility portfolio. However, many of the proposed lighting retrofit projects did not meet internal payback thresholds, which prevented the company from moving forward under existing capital budget constraints.

Redaptive provided a fully funded, turnkey solution to unlock stranded value across Saint-Gobain’s lighting infrastructure. By eliminating the need for upfront CapEx and managing the entire project lifecycle, from design and procurement to installation and utility incentive capture, Redaptive enabled Saint-Gobain to quickly upgrade its facility lighting at scale. 

The project significantly cut lighting-related energy use and operational costs while improving sustainability performance. Over the next 10 years, the upgraded infrastructure is expected to avoid 82,724 metric tons of CO₂ emissions, equivalent to removing 192,382 barrels of oil or the annual emissions of 16,097 homes.
