Berry Global needed funding without adding to debt and an installation partner who could execute safely in highly complex operating facilities. They also needed to scale this solution across almost their entire portfolio to avoid consuming excess energy because the lighting was not LED.
The Solution
Redaptive provided the funding, project management, and measurement and verification, to rapidly deploy LED retrofits across Berry Global portfolio maximizing the EBITDA impact and GHG emissions avoided. In all, Redaptive’s scalable solution addressed over 27,000 fixtures for Berry global spanning across 7.8M sq/ft.
The Impact
The Redaptive program resulted in a significant reduction in lighting energy and maintenance costs. The reduced electricity consumption will avoid 82,700 metric tons of CO2 emissions over the service term, the equivalent to removing 192,500 barrels of oil avoided or the emissions from 16,000 homes.
